A persona is a
set of choices.

Write a one-paragraph stage brief

Describe the atmosphere you want to create in five sentences: what kind of host you are, what viewers can expect, what you enjoy discussing, what you never share, and what ends a session. The strongest brand may simply be a clear, memorable version of you.

Audience attention isn't a contract

Viewer attention can reward consistency and personality, but it doesn't create an obligation to reveal private information, change your limits, or extend a broadcast. Be kind and firm. Never tie your own safety rules to a tip goal.

Publish your internal rules

Make a private boundary sheet before the first show. Identify topics, requests, and behaviors you will refuse, and how you'll block or report harassment. If streaming with a partner, check boundaries off-camera before, during, and after sessions. Consent can always be withdrawn.

Develop helpful rituals, not superstitions

A routine can make the work sustainable: a short lighting check, a greeting, a consistent scene, a break signal, and a clean shutdown. Think of the persona as a stagecraft exercise rather than a promise about how an audience will respond.

Treat it like a business

Track time spent, equipment expenses, receipts, platform statements, and tax responsibilities. Separate gross receipts from net income. Build rest days into your schedule and revisit your limits regularly.
